Refund & Cancellation Policy

DishCost is a one-time purchase, so there is no subscription to cancel and nothing that quietly renews. This page covers getting your money back and closing your account.

30 days, no questions asked

If DishCost isn’t right for your venue, email support@dishcost.com.au within 30 daysof your purchase and we will refund you in full. You don’t have to justify it, and we won’t put you through a retention process.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. We process them within 5 business days of your request; how quickly it appears on your statement is up to your bank, typically another 5 to 10 business days.

After 30 days

The no-questions-asked window closes, but your rights under the Australian Consumer Law don’t — see below. If something has gone genuinely wrong, talk to us. We would rather sort it out than have you stuck with software you can’t use.

There is no subscription to cancel

DishCost is a single A$199 payment. We do not store a recurring billing arrangement, nothing auto-renews, and there is no trial that converts into a charge. If you ever see a repeat charge from us, that’s a mistake — tell us and we will refund it immediately.

Closing your account

Email us and we will close your account and delete your data within 30 days, other than records we are legally required to keep (tax and payment records, which Australian law requires us to hold for five years).

Export your data first, from Settings → Your data — you can do that at any time while the account is open, and it takes one click. Closing an account is not the same as asking for a refund, and doing one doesn’t automatically do the other, so say which you want.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If there is a major failureyou are entitled to a refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss. If the failure is not major, you are entitled to have the problem fixed within a reasonable time — and if we don’t, to a refund.

These rights apply regardless of the 30-day window above, and nothing on this page limits them. The window exists because we would rather be more generous than the law requires, not less.

If we ever shut DishCost down

You get at least 90 days’ notice, working data export for that whole period, and a fair refund if it happens within 12 months of your purchase. The full commitment is in our Terms of Service.

How to ask

One email to support@dishcost.com.au. Include your venue name and whether you want a refund, your account closed, or both. There is no form.
